PKO-C dissolves in acidic aqueous solution to form amine salts, which can be used to produce intermediates for manufacturing oxamide betaine, and quaternary ammonium salts. Suitable for use as emollients, emulsifiers, foaming agents, conditioning agents, softeners, Bitumen emulsifier,  paper waterproofing agents, corrosion inhibitors, and additives for petroleum products, etc.
